weirdo......

thats what you car is suppose to do.

and the squeeky thing, its you pedal making noise, right?
spray some ky lubrication on it, you can get it at your loacl cvs and pharmacy store.. ask for the heat activated one. they are the best.

good luck.

usually alot of pressure means good.
little pressure = bad.

Thats what its supposed to do. It will either clunk out, our if you let it out slow enough it will start to move.

For the squeak get a can of lithium grease from any auto store and spray it where the clutch pedal connects up under your dash. That should take care of it.

If you have good pressure behind your clutch that means you are good. If you have little pressure that is when you need to bleed. Not all cars clutches will feel the same...

Then the other 240's you drove have problems or you didnt' let the petal out slow enough or were on an incline etc... if you let the petal out the car WILL move if the clutch is connected to the car. Impossible for anything else to happen... If the idle on the car is a little low it might not move much then clunk out but it will still move.

Don't use wd40 because it drys out and collects dirt and such. Get some lithium grease... It stays for a long time...

yea those cars didnt really move. like my car wont stall out if i let it out slow. and it can go like 5mph up a hill w/o gas. is that normal? and it was an auto before.

also can my idle cause my motor to shake?

put some gas in your oil. your car will run fine. in fact drain all the oil and fill it up with gas the next time your at the local gas station.

That means you have a good clutch. /thread.
It has nothing to do with your car previously being an auto, if it moves well, your clutch is pretty good. Atleast, in my experience, it was like that.

ok then. cuz i let someone drive it and they said it was sensitive

If your idle is high it will not stall out as easy and will climb a hill at idle.

carlova78

will high idle cause the motor to shake?

No, but low idle might.

also a fouled spark plug will cause it to shake at idle.

or solid motor mounts. its pretty much like buying s13 massage seats. oooh

eh at 1100 - 1250 rpm my ka shakes a tad.
not bad
just more vibrations than idle.
then it gets really smooth after that.

What our Andy is trying to say is, there is no free pedal play in his car. I forget the exact number in mm but isn't there supposed to be some free play in the clutch pedal? The last time I drove Andy's car, the clutch WAS very sensitive. Like you barely take the clutch pedal off the floor and the car takes off. There's no "friction zone."

hm..
that can be adjusted with a small nut in the back iirc.

so you're saying it is like an "on-off" switch?

I'd love mine to be like that.. heh.

Yeah, I'd love no play in the clutch...

Why would play be a GOOD thing? (not being an ass, serious question)

Having a little play makes it easier to drive in traffic, for me atleast, so that when I'm on a hill in rush hour I can be just on the gas and clutch easier than brake, and go to gas really quick. People like different things, alot of people with DC5's and EP3's tend to adjust the pedal so that its more like a switch, or so that its adjusted where its damned near on/off. I personally like having a little of play in mine. But too much can get annoying.

i personally think no play is better.
just ride the clutch...
just not for too long.
