To answer the question of are these subwoofers any good; I just bought a set of 12" in SDX subs from Pep Boys and instead of the inluded amp, which I had heard was crap, I matched them up with a JL Audio 1300 Monoblock 300w Sub Amp. I have Pioneer Premier 6x9's on the rear deck of my 93 Cutlass Ciera and 4"in Polks in the front hooked to a JVC 50wx4 Head unit. I Dynamated the trunk and they sound real nice for what I wanted them for. The included amp may have powered them ok but I'm in Arizona and I don't need it burning up in the summer. But with my 54 year old half blown ears they kick good enough for the money. :wiggle:

Id strongly reccomend save for something better.I had some old Polk tweeters and put new rockfordfosgate...not cheap...still the polks sound twice better so...better go with the good brands.

I have never heard them so I really don't know. but if I had to guess I'd bet they sound like crap. but beauty is in the eye of the beholder..
The truth is most people measure how good their system is by how loud it is. Distortion of a sub in an enclosed trunk is almost impossible to hear. Unless it is played at volumes that introduce more than 50% distortion.
IMO you are much better off going with some good quality, yet inexpensive, subs and amp. personally I like Memphis. The PR series is not expensive and sounds alright. More important though is your head unit. It is by far the most important factor to how good your system sounds.
Know what you are looking for first. If cheap is what you want it is fine if it makes you happy. most people after a while just want a little more bump..... and then a little more.... and then a little more.....ect. Some people want their system to just be louder than everyone else. If this is you then go for as many cheap subs as you can afford. they easiest way to increase volume is to increase the number of speakers.
If you want it to sound good go with one, or two, really nice speakers in a sealed box. DO NOT PUT GOOD SPEAKERS IN PORTED OR VENTED BOX!!!! IT WILL DESTROY YOUR FREQUENCY RESPONSE!!!
All this is coming from someone who has invested over $1500 in a quality sub/amp combo and made a custom sealed enclosure. First I had a Memphis 15" LVS quad voice coil sub and Memphis 1000 watt RMS amp in a sealed box. I hit 131db on a decibel meter with 1 sub!!! After that I wanted it to be louder so I got a 15" MOJO D4 and a vented box. The LVS sub sounded waaaayyyyy better.
I should have just gone with six 12" Memphis PR subs.
