eh so my computer got a virus again.. and i udnno whybecause i havent really downloaded shit. its an easy virus to remove but its just pisses me off. its a baby trojan made by some japanese prick...

im so voer windows... red hat anyone?

FYI, do NOT run Vista if you are interested in OpenGL ... Vista != support GL.

But Vista DOES have builtin memory management now on the OS level, so it will automatically optimize an application's memory access. That is btw, if the app doesnt already do its own memory optimization. If it does ... VISTA cant touch it. So depending on what you use alot ... Vista could help alot.

However, as a tard user, Vista is the way to role ... im going to recommend it to anybody as a "home" user.

And you're probly right about that 8%. Atleast for workstations. Thats because 92% of computer users are complete idiots... :) Now if you look at the % of servers that run linux in a large environment... its about the opposite...

and actually isnt that still bold to say 90% of servers are unix boxes? From my understanding most of the time you use Unix for legacy apps OR FTp's?

its weird flip ... Dh was saying about his 6 servers ... i have my 1 running all the same apps as his 6 ... and i haev lower processor warnings ... makes me wonder and want to do bench marks on my server to compare ... do you REALLY need all those servers?

Actually :) formating like that is kinda like just building a brick wall over the entire city. If you really want to you can dig through and get all the shit thats on there... Only way to really NUKE it is to do a low level format where it rewrites 1's and 0's over the existing data...

ERRR MAC's are for the UBER dummy user. MAC's allow you almost zero access to anything fun. Also, you cant develop anything on a mac, unless its a graphic/sound and then you still have to purchase MAC specific software.

Mac's = expensive image toys

Unless of course you dual booted your MAC for PC's apps and MAC's apps ... but if yoru doing that ... WHY?! just stick with a PC.

Graphic designer = MAC
Everybodyelse = PC
one handed virgins = unix

Man i have tons of machines to sell in house. I have laptops/desktops all that i could sell for the cheapz. Nothing will be Dual Core but P3-P4.

Oh yeah, here is the easiest way to erase a hard drive .....

Magnet + Hard drive = fancy paperweight.

I am curious, has ANYBODY every worked on assembly language for their cars? or any hardware level coding to tweak their ECU or anything? I am curious as to wether or not your car could be setup to run on Windows RealTime and have it handle whatever a computer chip would normally do.
