This problem occurred the day of FD. Initially, I thought I had a seized caliper. The caliper was dragging and caused the rotor to become bright red and ate my brake pads.

Since then, I have changed out the caliper, new brake pads and new rotors in hopes to fix the problem. But it still dragged. My next thought was the ebrake. So I unhook the ebrake and drove around but it still seems to be dragging.

I am stuck and have no idea where else to look. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Its the sliders on the caliper mount. They are frozen in the bracket not letting it move. Very common prob.

Caliper =/= Caliper BRACKET... that is what has the sliders that you bolt the caliper onto that is supposed to give the flex in the system and prevent locking, seizing of the caliper on the rotor...

So take your caliper off, and make sure what it bolts onto... the sliders... will move... slide in and out, rotate, et cetera... if they're seized up, or hard to move, that's your problem.

Capeche?

check the brake hose as well. there may not be fluid getting to the caliper at all.

this is really easy stuff man ,,,if you took the wheel off then you should be able to fix your caliper problem,,
there are only so many moving parts on the stock setup,
GET NEW SLIDER,,,THE PART WITH THE LITTLE RUBBER BOOT PROTECTORS
OR YOU WILL PEEL YOUR ROTOR LIKE I DID,
that was befor my Z32 brake conversion.....FTW!!!!
