View Full Version : RSX Lowering Springs Problem...
I have a friend that has a 2002 RSX-S. We got some coilovers for it (drop zone springs). Come to find out the stock shocks won't work with aftermarket springs (atleast the ones that we got). If we get him a pair of koni shocks to go with the coilovers should we expect any fitament issues?

just get full coilovers... the koni's really arent worth the money

Well he doesn't have the money to go with full coilovers. He just needs a more comfortable ride and to be able to use his springs to actually lower the car without it bottoming out everywhere...

thats a spring rate problem. most of the ebay coilovers use shitty coils with really soft rates and the car rides like a pogo stick

Naw, i promise it's not the spring rate. They had good spring rates. I knew to check that. I used the same springs on my integra. The problem is the design of the shocks. They do not allow for a smaller spring to travel as much as it needs to when the car is lowered.
I think the coil rates were 350 and 450 if i remember correctly...
