hand brake handle removal

is there any way to remove the handle w/o having to remove all the e-brake assembly?.. i kinda tried but i dont see how this is possible...

i just need to replace the handle bc it doesnt have the black thingy that releases the e-brake or the spring.

gotta take out the 12mm bolts on top then i think theres some 10mm ones where the cable goes under the car then pull the cables loose under the car and slide it out.

so i have to pull out the cables no matter what?

Theres a short cable thats made too it that connects under the car too the two cables. Yes that has to be removed
