Yo this is homo. The motor and tranny mounts were just replaced, and teh car still shakes. It wasnt that bad after the motor mounts were replaced, but trhe 2nd time i drove the car it shook again. The whole car shakes like moneys. The motor is liek going left and right. booo! Should i window weld the mounts?
Does the car shake? or the motor shake?
Those are two completely different problems...

well stop shaking when you get in the car then, sit tight and be still.
obvious its not the mounts if you tighten it.who told you its the motor mounts, is the person credible?
your car is not running right probably on three cylinders....hah
i dunno. get someone to check it out.

replace your tires
Carlova...
Start from the beginning. Give us more info on your problem.
Take this test.
1) When is it shaking? Moving or sitting still?
2) Where is it shaking? Do you feel it in the whole car? Is it just the engine thats shaking or no?
3) Does it do it all the time?
4) Does it come with any noises?
5) Does your shifter knob shake with it?

it could be unbalanced tires/rims mine in the front were bent and it made everything shake....steering wheel and the whole front end...good luck with it

10-17-2007, 04:56 PM
yeah an unbalanced or un aligned wheels or tires can cause that too.

alignment will not cause a shake... unless you have messed up parts.

you do understand that new (aftermarket or oe) mounts are going to cause increased vibrations? adding window silicon will only increase the vibrations.

he replaced them with used oem ones.

Well we'll have no idea until he tells us if it does it with the car moving or not...

repalced with stock oem used
there you go.
get some solid or poly mm/tm.
no reason to use stock used stuff unless yours is COMPLETELY shot.
chances are.. those are shot as well.
take em out, fill em up with window-weld from homedepot.
there you go.
stock mounts, harder.

Um ok i thought i stated all that. Alright
The motor is shakin left and right and shakes the car. I replaced the motor and tranny mounts, but it seems as if after i replaced the tranny mounts the shifter shakes a little more than before.
It shakes at idle but when the car starts moving its actually pretty smooth.
i will make a video. This is gay.

Justin has window weld in his motor/tranny mounts. i got to test his car out it was smooooooooooth!
Yeah, I would check for a misfire as well, even if the mounts are good (assuming they're installed correctly), it wills till cause it to shake with a misfire. Check your plugs and wires and see if everything is firing

itll increase vibrations.
however it doenst look like its a simple vibration issue here.

vid no worky.
no see.
go over and tighten the bolts on the mm/tm to spec.
and see if it still does it.
it could be a simple torque issue.
