I'm having trouble finding a place to run the power wire (B+) from the amp to the battery on my S14. I'm just wondering if there's a common place on the firewall people run it through. Any suggestions? Thanks

I drill a new hole or cut a slit in the grommet for the factory engine harness.

what gauge is the wire? i ran a 4G thru the hole where the harness goes in my s13. without cutting anything.

i ran a 0G through the harness hole without cutting anything. if you gonna run all that you can just relocate the battery to the trunk and go from there. it will cost you the same + 10 bucks for the battery box. dont listen to me, i'm just thinking out loud lol

youre not supposed to run a +12v wire next to the ECU though. so if its possible, run it across the firewall and down the drivers side.

Thanks guys! I ended up widening an existing hole in the fire wall on the driver side.

I give some details,In my truck, there was an opening on the passenger side. If you aren't that fortunate, what I've done in the past with other vehicles is locate a rubber plug in the firewall that may be covering a hole for an optional accessory and cut an X in it with a utility knife. You can then run the wire through that and maybe seal it up with RTV or something.
