Yes, that is a great writeup.
Are you replacing the 2 upper guides or removing them?

yes, but you dont want to replace those guides. you want to remove them. that was the point of that thread.

Right, so removing the top 2 wouldn't have any negative effect on the chain/engine whatsoever? The bottom 2 guides stays there right?(i'm pretty sure they do)

No, the top two serve no purpose according to Nissan. We just removed the 2nd upper guide on mine a few days ago, and it's running great. :goodjob:
Yes, the bottom need to stay.

Does anyone know approximately how long this process takes? The process of taking off the guides and putting everything back together.

You don't have to replace the 2 upper guides though. You can replace them with the metal ones, but it's not necessary. If you've doen it before, it takes about 40 minutes, but if not, probably 1.5-2 hours.

I found out that I need to replace the tensioners, maybe lower guides. While I'm at it i'm thinking about replacing the cam gears/timing chains.
The part I have already are:
1 tensioner
2 cam gears
2 chains
2 lower guides
These were all free from the guy I bought the car from.
Suprabrit/USDM what do yall think? Is it too difficult?
Tools:
-Metric Sockets including 27mm for the crank bolt
-Ratchet and wobble extensions
-Screwdriver
-Torque wrench
-Breaker bar (not necessary)
-Timing Light
-RTV Liquid Gasket
These are the tools mentioned on nicoclub.forum Do i really need the 27mm socket? And what does a timing light look like?
