I upgraded to the 15/16 BMC since I only upgraded the fronts to z32 calipers while the rears are stock. My brakes don't respond or bite as quick as my brother's stock brakes, and I also have to step a bit harder to stop the car compared to my brother's. I have Hawk HPS pads with OEM rotors on all fours. My brother has OEM rotors and pads.

I have bled the system multiple times and also bench bled the BMC so I am sure there shouldn't be air. I am stumped.

Unfortunately, this is one of the side effects to upgrading just the fronts.

I think the solution was to upgrade the rear brakes as well. Do a NICO or Zilvia search, as I can't remember the specifics of this problem/solution.

I have the same issue (Q45 fronts + 15/16 BMC) , but I also adjusted the brake booster valve as well and just adapted to the brake pedal. haha

I mean, most people from what I hae read of the other forums don't use the 15/16 as commonly as the 1 or the 17/16. But those who do prefer the 15/16 when upgrading only the fronts. I mean, its pretty much the s15 silvia setup. I'll play aorund with the bake booster valve too then and soo how that goes.

Thanks.
