I'm pretty set on poly bushings. I'm kind of unsure on the rear subframe which ones to go with since the 4 on the subframe are so ripped appart. Do i need to get complete poly bushings and replace the ones that are in the subframe? Or should i be ok only getting the inserts with really messed up stock bushings??

Thinking of getting some aluminum inserts that replace the entire bushing from here:

Anyone got a 240 with something similar in it so i can see how it rides?

fyi you have to pull the whole rear subframe to install the solids. imagine an ass end with no flexw whatsoever

yes..
solid would be pretty damn rough for a dd..
why dont ya just get the slip-ins?

then again.. you stated you dont have much of an existing bushing on the subframe...

Right, they are completely seperated and the rear part of the subframe has slipped like 3 inches down below where it should be... I'll try to take pics tomorrow.

I think now my only 3 options are:

1) Buy the aluminum bushings and replace the old ones

2) Try to find some FULL poly bushings and replace

3) Find some OEM bushings and use poly inserts

The thing is that i can't find any full poly bushings or any aftermarket bushing that is better than stock for that matter. The only one that i did find was a nismo one and they were expensive...

another option.

MMR's Rear Subframe Mounts. UHMW rear subframe mounts locate the subframe securely so that movement is virtually eliminated. Stock subframe retaining hardware is reused. http://mmr-direct.com/ only $75

if you get the Energy Suspension master set, the subframe inserts are included.. plus every other bushing in the car.. I got my kit for like 150 bucks..

This weekend I ended up doing the solid aluminum subframe bushings... It didn't solve all of my problems but is much nicer. The extra nouse is minimal compared to what I was expecting. The car reacts much more predictably now...

Thanks for the link. They have what i was looking for as far as the tranny and engine mounts...

I think I'm gonna do this for all the rest of the bushings... Their kit looks pretty complete...

This is what I have, and it's a cheap add on to take away most of the wheel hop. The rear end would flex under hard acceleration and pop loudly when I lifted the throttle.

Only downside is now I can hear the rear gears as certain speed, load, and rpms.

Yah, I don't mind the extra noise at all...

Well I ended up ordering the engine mounts and tranny mount from mmr-direct. It looks like i received a drivetrain bushing kit for an rx7 tho. :-\

I'm not sure if the engine mounts included are the correct size, they look to be but the other things that came with them are the same things that come with the rx7 kit and sizes are not listed so i can not tell.

I was really looking forward to that tranny mount... I emailed them so we'll see how quickly they handle this...
