Has anyone ever tried upgrading an s13's brakes to an rx-7's brakes? I was wondering if it's even possible? I wanted to go five lug and my buddy has a complete rx-7 brake system.

ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

dont bother.

they wont bolt up. if thats what you were asking. and you wouldnt be asking if you knew what was involved in swapping brakes out.

alot of people go with z32 brakes. they bolt straight on. if you want something with better stopping power. go with something like a brembo from an evo or STI. or track 350z there are people selling the bracket adapters to use these calipers on your stock spindles.

the rear brakes on a 240 are terrible though. swapping to the rears on a z32 would be the best bet. but you loose the ebrake functionality. so you have a couple choices. you can swap the ebrake assembly from a z32 and splice cables. / get R32 cables for an s13 and r33 cables for an s14.

whatever you end up doing. upgrade the master cylinder. s13 master cylinders are junk. you can go with a z31 master cylinder (15/16) for a mild upgrade or a z32 1" master cylinder for the next step up. or the z32 17/16 (1&1/16) master cylinder

q45 or z32/skyline is the way to go.

You can make them fit, just need to know how to make the proper brackets ;)

z32 is cool but q45 is the factory upgrade, the Q and Z both use the same style rear upright. Both use the same e-brake hardware as well. Now piece away
