Swapped pads and rotors onto my hatch (used rotors from my coupe, which were fine the moment i stopped driving the car)

Problem : VIOLENT...Vibration from the rear at hwy speeds below 3/4 throttle it is as if the rear brakes are "pulsating" , infact if I drop below 3/4 throttle and stop accelerating at HWY speed the problem is severe enough to where the rear wheel braking "forces" the ass end to slide considerably which at 70+ was incredibly dangerous..and very unexpected..Once this problem occured, I was unable to back off throttle at "Any..speed" without this happening, forcing me to go from high throttle to brake directly/repeatedly to keep it from resulting in control loss. I cannot understate the severity lol.

Everything looks correct. Pads are set like always into the piston grooves, the proper pads are in their respective inner/outer positions. The dust boot on the passenger rear calipar is missing..and an important note is unlike the driver side (intact boot) the piston can easily be retracted into the caliper by hand. (But this should make it easier for wheel rotation to fight the piston..not the other way around)

Its downright dangerous...I dont feel like throwing money at the problem. Never experienced this before.

I took everything off and inspected it ..reset it like it was and the problem has gone away. wierd...theres still vibration from the rear.. (It took a while for the "violent shaking/sliding" problem to appear before...about 5 miles coincidentaly once pedal feel/ebrake response returned to somewhat normal so I suspect it might occur again)

Did you ever make sure the brake pad shims were in there?

Is the voilen shaking happening while on the brakes or just when you are cruising down the road?
