so how much was the motor?
dave where are you at your little emmision station?> hahaha

the motor is an sr20det. i dont know how much he paid for the motor.
we took the car, 202 bhp.
and turned it to whatever he wanted granted he paid up front and gave a tip after he picked it up.
i never asked hw much he paid for the motor
... how much i charged for the end result?
well you need to come down for a quote, and we will find what is most reasonable for yor goal and budget and best option.

a house cost 180k. you buy it for 120k. is the house comparitively cheap for the same house that you would spend 180k anyways? 5 dollars is considered expensive for a can of coca cola. 5 dollars is cheap for a 20 inch tire?
thanks and see you there. bring me the younglings.

Whose dyno are you using? Did sam do the tuning? How much do you charge for tuning?
v-empire

dyno jet.
most of the cars we tuned as a deal we do for customers who drop of the car and get work done to it.
once we are done, we strap it up, and take it to a dyno jet, and start tuning until we feel the car is awesome.
we dont typically tune a car for a walk in because its not worth it most times. time it takes to load up, strap down, rent the place....etc. we call in advance, and we have a goal for the car to get there....
for those interested, get work done there and he will get it tuned and ready to rock. get yor car back, he wont even tell you when he is tuning it, coz custi gets anxious....he will just call when its done....haha.
then the custi picks the car up and he doesnt have to deal with finding a trailor and a truck, finding a dyno, shit in his pants hoping the motor doesnt blow up, etc etc..or idiot customers who pick them up and expect to drive and tune later, and blame people for bad installs this and that when shit happens.
its something we provide as a service and we know the car being built so we are confident in the car producing the target goal, and the dependibility.
Sam is a certified tuner, good number of standalones eq. AEM etc etc...he doesnt really tell people he tunes...lol
but we rent a dyno jet to get the cars tuned.
sam tunes sometimes, but he is always there to monitor or change the variables to his experiences to make the ideal power and AFr.

Oh. OK.
So, you say that you guys don't "typically" tune a car for a walk in, but does that mean you will? lol.

thats up to Sam at Tiger Racing. haha. i m sure if he has to schedule and book the dyno, strap your car down, bring it there, tune it, bring it back, test drive. just make sure you convince him it worth it is time.....i m sure he would say yes, coz he is too nice sometimes..

we tune on customers cars that we work on. at least we are confident about the swap.
we dont really like to do basic swaps, but we may do them if you are convincing...lol.
we like to see mods and power improvements, something different, more exciting than a basic sr swap. anyone can do a basic sr swap but few can make power with just tweaking and choosing the right mods. i ve see people slapping on mods all the time, and it makes their car slower or run shitty...etc.. and they say oh i read it somewhere and that peron did the same. not true. some mods yes, but there are tecniques or you have to know it when doing it.
Tiger Racing cant do monopoly dollar swaps because the level of experience, time we put in to make sure, the testing, making sure everything is in line.
best thing to do is go see Sam at tiger Racing, dont waste his time to just ask for price and quotes, hang around and bullshit. he has work to do always. ask seriously and show some respect, its his work place. i wold do the same at your work place too.
when you are ready, he is good, and you know what you will be getting. come to me, or talk to him, and i will do my best to work with him to get you the best deal for your dollar and mods.
nicee work

i like stalkers too.

Man i think you guys just gained a customer
Seems like you all really care about the projects you do
I am a noob tho and my cars got a lot of work to do so i'll probably be calling you all in a month or so (after some serious research and work getting her presentable) with a hopefully educated idea of what i want outta my 240.
Thanks a lot

thanks for the words.
i know Sam's work.
I trust his work.
I ve seen what other people can do with their SR's,
but he is most knowledgable and very practical in mods.
he studies the motor.
motor builds and mods?
i think he is the best with the SR in GA and if i can trust my personal motor to be put together by him, i know he is good.
he is so careful no matter whose motor,
for him to put one bolt in or stud in the motor,
he does it three to four times, each! before leaving it.
tighten all the way, loosen all the way, re-tighten check tension, loosen all the way, re-tighten check again.. he keeps doing that. before he moves the next... its a habit and one of the little things he does every freakin time. drives me nuts.... but hey, i ll let him build my motor and install it...haha.
hope he can help you with what ever you need with your sr project.

Very true. He let me hang out with him while he installed my cams. He was very very meticulous. Everything had to be perfect and he would check and recheck himself on everything. It was very comforting to see that.

Cash, i just realized you got the same cams as these, right??
man, you got a deal!!!! shit!
those apexi were expensive, they run like 700 bucks for a pair, or $380 a piece if i recall. they may be cheaper now, i dont know.. but yeah, when we bought them, there were pricey.
that was a good catch.
errrr....... or did you get the tomei's?

Sammy does awesome work and i love his cars. hes a good guy to hang around with too.
But im confused, Turbo Dave used to do all of sammys tuning at Mainstream, does he not go there anymore?
got the apex ones. the box says 250 though, not 256. i don't know if that's the box the cams i bought came in, or just a box sammy gave me for my old cams.
either way, i love them. very smooth feeling, and top end feels amazing when it's cool out. i need to get my car tuned though. i have to get a new safc first though, since the screen went out on the one i have now.

yes and no.
mike, he brings cars with SAFC over there coz he cant get the other dyno booked sometimes, and he rather give business to turbo dave.

I talked to sam a little bit last night and he will prolly be doing my sr. i can build it my self, hell i have been working on cars since i could walk but i have never tuned a pwr fc plus its easier just to let someone else do it, and if i blow my motor because i want to drive it to soon then i am f^cked.
