s15 turbo question

Like i said before i think ima get the s15 spec r t28 turbo for my redtop...
i talk to a friend of mine and he told me that there is something extra i have to put on the turbo to work properly, he doesnt remember what is it exactly, but he said that w/o it the turbo will go out in about 7 months... he said something about the turbo getting to much oil...
does anyone know what is he talking about????

restrictor valve, you will need the intake elbow and outlet elbow , and i highly recommend taka coolant feed, oil feed and coolant return lines.

im pretty sure a turbo off an s14/s15 will already have an internal restrictor.

how does that restrictor valve loooks like? where can it be found?

i cannot use the stock elbow that goes to the downpipe?

you have to bend the coolant feed line to make it work, and again...if its coming straight off of an s15 i doubt you will need a restrictor.

Yeah the shop didnt put one on and the turbo blew first event. :gay:He has a T25 now.

t28... oh, and i think ima get new lines, im not sure, i saw some circuit from 120 so i think i can get them

go ahead and order the restrictor just in case...from research i have learned that you dont need a restrictor if you run the stock hardlines with the banjo fitting because the restrictor is built into the banjo fitting...

if you run braided lines it will be too much oil , i just bought a .06 restrictor for 21$....i think this is why my turbo blew also, when i pulled it off yesterday there was oil all over the compressor housing..

well i still need the restrictor valve which i still dnt know which one to get, 0.03 or 0.06 size. can u help me out bro?

i got my taka lines today , they already came with a .06 restrictor...

it was 12$ + 9$ shipping =21$

i will have a extra restrictor tomorrow , if you want to buy it ill let it go for 20$...
