When I did the 5spd swap on my old car, the motor already had a 5spd flywheel...my question is, when swapping a car with an auto flywheel, do I need different flywheel bolts as well?

Sorry for the dumb question...:crying:

Yes. You will need the 5 speed flywheel bolts.

Yup, you need the MT flywheel bolts, they're longer if I remember right.

Thanks...I thought so. Those should be fun...cuz I'm not getting a flywheel or anything at a junkyard, so I don't want to have to pull a trans just to get the bolts...anyone know the size, length, and thread pitch? I can probably just buy some bolts here...

I think I have some.. I'll look. You'll know if you find them, they say "MT" as opposed to "AT" on the head.

i would just use oem nissan bolts.
i dont trust bolt stores for flywheel bolts... i mean think about it all the torque and hp gets transfered through those 6 bolts.

Yeah I just thought about that...they're made of hardened steel. $5 a pop at Nissan... $30 > a few hours at a junkyard droppin a trans for used bolts. ;)

I found 5 sitting on my shelf at the shop. Not sure if there are supposed to be 6?

I could find another though.

How about half price, $15 bucks?
