the fenders are usually rolled, not to mention a 9 inch wheel will sit flush, those sportmax's are 9 inches in the back

really depends on offset and tire sizing and alignment.

Rolled fenders and the right offset.
18s are too big for an s13 imo...

woah i just read that article, you have to pound like your whole fender and frame rails?? oh my

Too much of a fuss to put damn 18s on an s13...18s are the biggest I'd even go on the Supra...oh well, to each his own I guess.

i eouldnt even go over 18's on my s14. i wouldnt go over 17's oon an s13

18x9 +40 won't sit flush. It's not all about the width of the wheel. it's like babow said, it's a combo of offset and width. a 6.5 inch wide wheel will sit flush with a low enough offset.

Thats only if you want that flush look w/ little rubbage. Flushness doesnt happen on accident.

Like I said in another thread, you only need 17's to clear a 6 pot brake setup. :D

18s actually look pretty good in s13s..
its all personal preference, but if you got the rigth wheels and right body mods,
anything could probably look good.
lol.
Yea, I like 18's on an s13 too, but they have to be done right. 18's with no kit just don't look good. you have to have the whole package. a car with a really aggressive kit, slammed on coilovers, with stock wheels looks ridiculous. at the same time, a car with 18x10 +18, 18x9 +20 wheels and no kit looks dumb.

I got some 00 - 04 Mustang Bullitt (17x8 with 235/45R17) wheels and they sit dead flush with the rear of the car. I'm eventually moving to some 17x9 up front and 17x10 in the rear on my RPS13, but the fenders and quarters will be flared to accommodate said wheel size.

you should be able to fit 17x9 all around with only rolling the fenders.
17x10 can be done with a slight roll/pull, camber and correct tire size.
andy, ill have some pics of my 17x9 +17 with some +25 spacers soon, :)
one weekend.

i like 18's on S13's, they can look baller if done right (i'm even tempted to switch up to 19's in the rear of my car :) ). and don't be afraid to roll/pull fenders and put a bit of extra work into it, it's totally worth it to come out with an end result that actually looks good (instead of going the easy way out and just throwing some narrow, high offset stuff on).

yeah def, 17 inch rim is the perfect size for a 240 regardless, imo. but the 2 s13's in the pic do look pretty hot. cuz i got 17s on my car, and they look just right

Only us kids that drift and run into stuff all the time. Better to break a ziptie than a bumper.

Zipties arent just for hitting cones...
say your front bumper is 1.5 inchs off the ground... you tend to hit alot of stuff haha. Zipties snapping have saved my bumpers more times than I can count. ;)
plus bumpers falling off mid-drift is half the fun of drifting!!!

This is true...
I guess since I am FWD and a loser that cant drift I dont know these things, and I dont like have spiffy look bumpers to fuck up for that reason.
