ISIS Has just released their turbo upgrade option for the SR20DET. This is a great inexpensive replacement turbo for your Stock T25 or T28.

Big Performance in a compact package

This compact turbocharger offers much more top-end power than the the stock Turbos, thanks to a large 0.86 A/R exhaust housing. It offers good response on 1.8 litre to 2.2-litre four-cylinder engines.

Turbo Specifications:
Compressor side inlet 60mm, outlet 50mm, 56-trim compressor; inducer 45mm, exducer 60mm
Exhaust side 0.86 A/R turbine housing, turbine wheel outlet 46mm, outer diameter 53mm

Results:
On the SR20DET This turbo achieved ~280hp at 14psi. This turbo is rated up to ~330hp. (Very Similar to an S15 turbo)

ebay quality?

If ISIS is ebay quality then I guess I should start buying from ebay. The turbo is on our KA-T car and its runs amazing. Along with the Isis Z-maf and intercooler kit and BOV and radiator.. Do you plan on using this turbo for your rb25 or something? ;) lol.

"Ebay quality?" doesn't insinuate that type of question at all. But yes, their turbos are made in their factory, and we personally tested them before putting them on the market, just like all of the other ISIS products.

What's the warranty on these?

I've been completely satisfied with every ISIS product I've gotten from BG so far. :)

I would buy this before I would buy any "eBay turbo."

1 year manufacturer defective warranty. If you receive a defective turbo, they'll gladly replace it. If you destroy the turbo I don't see that happening though. But even then we here at enjuku are willing to help, and we back ISIS 100%. If you're unsatisfied with any ISIS product give us a call and let us know, we'll work something out with you. Basically you send it to us, we inspect it, if we can't determine the problem then we send it to them and go from there. But I don't think it'll ever have to go that far :).

ALL of ISIS stuff is warrantied this way. Feel free to ask anymore questions :D

Hypothetically, what would happen if the compressor wheel on one of these went through my engine after a few hundred miles of stock boost?

Got mine in, made 250whp @12psi tuned very very conservatively. Going to get tuned in the next day or so hopefully at 14psi. Hope to see around 270-275whp.

^^ your boost controller made all the difference

you can shift at 6500rpm, cause that little housing's killing all the torque up top. Definately not too shabby tho for tuning it @ 12.0-11.7 a/f ratio.

Oil Journal or BB? Looks like a nice alternative to the s15 turbo.

PleadingBark

Oil Journal. Its very comparable to the t28 thats non BB. Plus it has a 1 year warranty. Can't beat that!

that was my first experience tuning an sr car with that turbo.

it's not the best thing since sliced bread it but i wasn't disappointed either. it did its job.

it's fair priced, brand new, and has a 1 year warranty......a used t28 may only have one of those attributes..

so all in all it's not bad. the spool's kinda inbetween a t28 and a 28/71, but at least you know what you're getting.

The rs3360 has a pretty decent hotside, I'd say throw some 264/264 brian crower cams on that motor and you'll see power all the way to redline!

Tried calling you Chris. I'll give you a hook up on some cams, we want to see how the turbo responds with cams!!!

sounds like a plan :) , helping the motor breath up top aka putting in cams will definately help with the power near redline, and i agree on 264's over 272's or other craziness.

Indeed. 264s are where its at for this kinda turbo set up.
