So I decided to do my own sr swap even though I have never done a swap before. saturday and sunday I worked all day and monday, tuesday and wednesday I worked on it after work. It took longer than i though, but it was fine because I was learning. So after work today I finished everything up finally and went to crank it up and blew my 75 amp alternater fuse after a few seconds. So i checked my grounds and everything looked fine fine. I added another ground from my motor, and since I dont have another 75 amp fuse, I just connected it with a nut. I tried to start it, but it didn't ever start but i'm not worried about that now. I guess I didn't fix my ground problem because now my car wont even try to crank anymore. I'm sure its a stupid ground issue, but I cant figure the thing out. And now I probly have a melted wire somewhere that I can't find.

after I fix this issue, i am pretty sure everything else will be fine. I cant wait to get this thing on the road, but I'm so fucking frustrated right now.

I dont know what to do.

I can't diagnose over the phone. But you could bring it by and I could look at it.

Ehh i would, but i cant afford to tow it up there. I think i'll figure it out... idk.

Thats what I did, and it worked for a while, but now its acting like it was when the fuse blew. So i guess i melted a wire.

yeah i guess its a melted wire...... the bolt was smoking and getting hot when it had current going through it...

i think we should pull all the wires and check everything out dude.

like i said... ocd REDO all the wires...
well sorta redo
pull it all
check it all
and replug everything back in.
we also need to make your + wire a solid connection crimped and soldered instead of how you have it.

please be careful.

check around your starter and alternator grounds and connections. make sure you ecu ground wires are ground properly, and your battery grounds. make sure your motor is grounded to the chassis with a big ground.

dont burn the ecu.

I checked starter and alt ground, and they are good. Ecu is grounded, battery is grounded. motor is double grounded. I think I'm goin to add another ground from the alt to the chassis and see if that clears it up. well after i find my burnt wire.

Dave, remember when I was having the ground problems on my starter and I had to drill that one ground out to make the screw fit? That probly has something to do with it. Idk, what do u think
