My guess is fuel pump... How many miles are on the current fuel pump?

run some seafoam through it! seafoam is gods gift to motors. but if it is the fuel pump then the seafoam will not help too much

so what is this stuff? what does it clean? if that doesnt work do yall think i should replace the fuel pump or what? are they hard to change on 240's? should i put a after market one down there or just get a new oem one?

seafoam is basicly an over all engine cleaner. it cleans everything. you turn your car on find a good vacume hose( off the brake booster works the best) stick the hose in the car and have someone rev the car so it will not die. i used a hole bottle on my legend so i guess you could use a hole bottle. it says use like 1/3 but whatever. after the can is done rev it for like 30 more secs and then let it die. Wait about 20 min and then start the car and eather drive it around. Do not go on any main roads cause you will be smoking BAD for like 10 mins.

OR you can pure it in where you put the oil. run the car for about 50-100 miles and then do an oil change. I have never done it that way.

Everyone that has used seafoam on there cars usally sees smother idle, better throttle responce, and over all a better running car.

Yah, seafoam is GREAT stuff... that is the FIRST thing i did when i bought my 240... Usually when i do it i just suck up half a bottle through a vacuum hose and let it die on its own without reving it then let it sit for 15-20 minutes, and pur the rest in the gas tank...

i have thought about putting it in the gas tank but i was worried that the car would smoke a lot longer. Was everything cool with you put it in the gas tank?

Yeah, as long as you have around a half of a tank of gas its fine. it mixes really thin into the gas so it doens't smoke much at all. If it does smoke any it is because it's burning the goop off of everything...

just read the back of the bottle, it's got pretty good instructions. Theres also a few how-to's on line. If i find a good one again i'll link to it shortly...

if you put it in the crank..
you need to swap it out after like 2 mins..

its not intended to help lubricate the system rather thin down the oil that is in your crank already, hence many start smoking when they put it in their crankcase.

overall though, seafoam is *fun* to use..lol
leave a big trail of white smoke behind you ;)

i thought about doing that with a ka-t with a blown head gasket spewing more white smoke than a skywriter...... but then i realized I can't drift if it doesn't let me rev above 4k rpms lol.
