View Full Version : Agency Power 5 lug conversion spacers

These little guys.
their purpose? to fill the gap when doing a 5 lug conversion with s13 coilovers, and s14 struts. *s14s use a larger strut upright bolt*
anyways. they did the trick but i knew the second i looked at them they werent going to fit perfect. just the quality of the machining.
they dont look exactly like the ones in the picture either btw.
anyways, apparently no one taught them how to hold tolorances while machining. or they are blatanely designed incorrectly.
they slide in very loose into the spindles *should be a 0 tolorance or a press fit* and they slide onto the bolt very loose.
my guess is that there is between .2mm and .4mm of play in the strut and upright after instalation.
so sure, they do the job. but i could have hammered copper pipe to better tolorances than this. what i had in there before was a string of solder hammered flat and wrapped around the bolt. it worked perfectly. it was better than nothing and guess what. there was almost no play between the coilover and spindle.
/rant. dont buy them. ill machine some proper ones when i get access to the machines at spsu. kthxbai

This is a true story, only the ones I got were waaayyyyyy to big to fit in the spindles, but the inner diameter was too small to fit the bolt through. Quality control FTL.

haha mine were too loose in the spindle and too looose around the bolts.
this is terrible. im gonna machine some myself. oh also, they were about .2mm too wide!

I just decided to drill the strut holes up and use S14 spindle bolts. Limits the resale crowd on the suspension, but whatever.

If I would have had a good set of 4 lug wheels I would have done the same thing.

lol you think i went 5 lug cuz of mustang wheels? no. i converted my s14 to 5 lug for brake upgrade and to run s14 se wheels. then i got a good deal on some 95' cobra wheels. hater! my s13 has been 5 lug from the get go.
