so as it sits i have a 1" master cylinder, under dash.
300zx front brakes and stock s13 rear brakes.

future setup is as follows.

Hardware:
Wilwood Dual reverse pedal assembly with balance bar
3 Wilwood 1" high volume aluminum master cylinders
Wilwood brake bias adjuster for rear circuit
Line lock to serve as parking brake.

Front brakes:
Wilwood 4 piston Integra GT-II calipers
13.1" Performance friction cryo treated and dyno-burnished rotors
Unsure on hats, as i may pick up some brembo floating rotors and finding hats are a bitch.

Rear Brakes:

I will be putting the 300zx brakes from the front on the rear. may have to do some spacer work since i dont know how the offset of the rotor.

I also need to find a small master cylinder to serve as an e-brake for the rear circuit. so i can have someway to lock the rear up.
The pedal assembly has 3 master cylinders, 1 for the clutch and 2 for the brakes. each circuit (front and rear) gets its own master cylinder.

in general you want as much presure as can possibly be generated to goto the front brakes. and you want to dial down the rear bias so the rears dont lock up before the fronts... for best performance you want to be able to brake as hard as possible without having anything lock up.

The balance bar allwos you to adjust how much of the pedal travel affects each master cylinder. i'll be picking up a remote adjuster so i can adjust front to rear brake bias on the fly

hmm i think i'd go with a grex 6 pot or something else first. I heard that wilwood bbk were horrible on the 240's... maybe it was just that one case but i dunno.

im not running a standard wilwood bbk. my calipers were 2500 dollars each, not your typical run of the mill kit caliper
the typical wilwood kit uses dinky little 4 piston dynalite calipers that have small pistons and shitty pad choices.
my calipers are thermolock pistons, staggered of course. each caliper weighs about 4 pounds each and outbreaks the wilwood sl-6 caliper.

wilwood may be hooking me up with the integra 6 piston for my 240. if they do then ill sell the 300zx brakes, run the 13.1" rotor up front with the 6 piston and run an 11.75" rotor in the rear with the 4 piston

when i had the z32 brakes all around they would lock up the wheels fine...

yeah, not saying anything against z32's. i just heard the wilwood kit wasn't great for the 240's compared to some of the other bbk's out. but it looks like his is far above just the standard kit. lol

no point.. besides i get hook ups on wilwood stuff.

its not about locking up the wheels, its about threshhold braking, how hard you can push the brakes, their resistance to brake fade, etc.

nothing on my brake setup is even part of a "kit"

Starting a new thread about brake options for 240's... Thanks for the idea :)

Badass brake setup!

thanks. im waiting till i get my honda done to start this process because its going to be lengthy as i have to pull the whole dash off as well as the hood. i have to cut out the old brake assembly and weld in new reinforcements and brackets for the pedal assembly. and bend whole new lines.. set up the line lock for the parking brake and the master cylinder for the e-brake.
