I just got a 5" Autometer Tachometer and can't figure out how to wire it in. I've still got a KA with a distributor and it's a manuel. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

you need a tach adapter.

auto meter makes them.

do some searching. you ll find it.

summit carries them.

I was trying to do it with out the tach adapter. I was told by a friend that I could wire it directly to the distributor or the exsisting tach. But I'll check for an adapter. Thanks

Yeah kinda Ricer but ever since I was little I always liked those big tachs. plus when I'm driving my arm covers up the existing tach.

Update: Me and my friend tried to wire it up, but couldn't figure out how to get the gauges out to wire it into the existing tach. we can't get the black thing that circles the gauges and is right above the steering column off cause it keeps hitting the steering wheel height adjuster. Any tips on how to get it off?
