At an airflow%of 15 on my safc, the car acts like it doesnt want to do anything. If I let off some it will run well, and if I open it up more it will hall as*.
I think this could be a problem with the mass airflow, but could also be a correction with the safc.

Let me know if you have any solutions/ questions.

what rpm you are at, and psi you are running ?
15% correction at 10% throttle, or 90% throttle ?

Usually not MAF problem

Safc sucks. Not enough tuning capability. At least get an emanage.

Any dyno place that have a wideband capability with someone who know how to tune, can do it. How much ? Depend how long is on the dyno.

If you can get a wideband, and you can log it with Throttle %, and RPM. I can tune it for you. I will get half dozen of Dom Perignon in return. :)

True that safc is not great but works.
NO I dont have wideband yet. no have not gotton tune.
and I am running rich. I figured thats what the problem was, but wasn't sure.
I am looking for a wideband if anyone has one.

and does anyone know of a tuning shop that could deal without one being installed and how much it would run me for a basic tune?

most turning shop have wideband that stick into your exhaust.
you don't need one to tune at shop. If the shop doesn't have one, go somewhere else.
If you have a wideband, you don't need a tune shop.

Having a wideband allow to perform "street tune".
Most shop only tune WOT for you.

Its gonna be at least $100 an hour to get tuned at a shop (probablly more like $120 an hour. Shouldn't take more than an hour or two tho. But calling around and asking some of the shops on IA would be your best bet.

I'm sure you can ask around your friends to borrow their wb02 for a small fee or something.

I can let you borrow mine..
its still in packaging, so I know its calibrated and good.
I can probably come ride with you while tuning to keep an extra pair of eyes on the afr and/or record rpm/afr.

I dunno.. lets say $20 and a lunch? lol.
Thats only if you know how to tune it yourself, its not too hard though.
just get a baseline from a similar setup and start fine tuning from there on.

What setup are you running with the ka-t?
