Sup guys, I am thinking to upgade my brake after my swap. I was thinking to swap the 300zx brake caliper but I have hard time to find the parts together. During my search, I found a shop sells the big brake kit, http://silverminemotors.com/category.sc?categoryId=11
I try to google some review but could not find any,
I am not an expert and i wish u guys can give me some of your options. are those brake kits looks ok to u guys? thanks.

just find someone selling 300zx brakes
you need: calipers, pads, rotors, and coversion lines for the front. You will also have to trim the brake dust shield, to get the rotors to fit
also be sure your wheels will clear the brakes.
If you are 4 lug, you will need a machine shop to drill the rotors for 4 lug hubs
the rears are a little more complicated, and i dont know much about them.

there are different sizes of rotors, and also you can get either aluminum or iron calipers
aluminum are obviously lighter

We have a set of 300ZX Calipers for sale. PM me.
Also, stock S13 wheels will not fit. Are you 4 or 5 lug?

That link has Q45 calipers for the stage 3... those will work fine, and you won't have any clearance issues. It's bolt on, and you can get 4 lug D/S rotors for the Q45.
$399 is not a bad price for reman either, but those rotors won't work for you... if they'll get them in 4 lug for you, go for it. Or have them drop the price by about $100 and get the Q45 rotors in 4 lug off eBay.
I wouldn't bother with the Stage 4 kit... it's not that much better anyway and you'll have clearance issues because of the way the calipers are designed.

Look at Stage 4 and the "track edition" kit and tell me those aren't 300zx calipers...

the website has listed brakes from other cars as their kits - they are indeed upgrades but this isn't in the same class as other "big brake" kits from other companies like ksport or greddy, just fyi.

if your looking for a good brake upgrade and still want to run your stock wheels go with the q45's i love mine only thing you have to do is cut the dust sheild and they bolt right on, use the same brake lines and everything.

ok.... big brake upgrade.
300zx calipers.
300zx rotors.
5 lug hubs.
s14 front lower ball joints
s14 front struts
s13 rear struts
s13 automatic brake booster
z32 brake master cylinder
this is everything needed to convert from a 4 lug to 5 lug, and do a brake upgrade all at the same time.

i agree, they're overkill for factory wheels. not enough rubber on the ground to utalize the upgrade.

Even on my setup 255s and 275s i can lock them at 20mph.... 50...... 80.... wont try any higher lol

Exactly what I've said for a long time. Too many people get the two most important aspects of braking confused. Bite and heat heat capacity are not the same. They think bigger brakes are the only way to increase bite. A good set of pads goes a long way. Of course rigid calipers are easier to modulate and have better feel but maybe 3 people on here actually care about that and use it.

i care mostly about how it feels. if you really wanna think about it.... you can tub out the wheel wells and fit much larger wheels to utalize larger brakes. i intend on tucking some 10's or so under my rear....
