FAILED EMISSIONS

:sad: i went to get my car emissioned yesterday and it failed. i passed everything accept the for nitrogen levels. can anybody tell me how i could fix this problem? or what might cause it? thanks

I dont' understand. Nitrogen should be a bypass product in combustion. If you pass everything, Nitrogren should pass as well. hmm...
Let me do some seach.. Are you sure is not Nitrogen Oxide ?
Meanwhile, what happen or can you bring to some place else to do emission test ?(I am new to Atlanta)

thanks bro. that sucks i was hoping it wouldnt have to come to that. georgia law is if your car cant pass you cant title it or renew your registration(stupid ass law). well im gonna see if i can get a cat on the low. but what i have now is a Motoria straight pipe with an ultra high flow bolt on cat made by same company. ill have to figure a way around that

I don't have experience in emission part, but retart timing will cause more emission in Nox, and VOC. CO might raise as well because the "combustion time" is shorter due to retarn timing.

emissions is actually a county law. i know, because bartow county doesnt even have any emissions inspection tests, or test sites. my car would have failed miserably. so another alternative is to move to cartersville.

Well i failed also...But that was because my CAT was shot to hell. When i faild my test score for NO PPM was 1500 our cars are allowed 945 so i failed horribly....Then after that i go put my new cat on and i passed with a 43. So a cat makes a big big difference in that reading for Nitrogen trust me. theres a big range between 43 and 945. So if i were you i would try the CAT first.

P.S also i my car feels brand new almost. Lol. Revs quicker. And does hestiate anymore...So yeah my CAT was from Hell. lol.

I could possiby let you borrow my converter if I haven't put it on my car yet.

Turn the boost way down, try a new converter... I'm pretty sure NOx will be over due to a bad converter and/or EGR, and we know it's not the latter ;)

How far over were you? 2x? 3x? My ka was 3x b/c of the backwards cat (dumbasses).

By the way, my Supra wants your wheels!!!

i finally figured out what h-mart was. i used to always see you guys talking about it on here, and i finally figured it out.
