Usually I don't make my problems too public but I am stumped. I'd maybe ask help from 2-3 close friends because I guess I have some ego issues aha w/e.

Here's the deal...Got another project car a couple days ago but I think I'm in over my head.

I have another '90 240sx I got for DIRT CHEAP...
It needs front windshield (Never installed before so I need help)
Driver side 1/4 glass (Again, never installed)
Rear lower control arm (Not a problem)
Front fenders (Not a problem)
Rear hatch (Not a problem)
Keys made (Calling locksmiths later)
Body work out the ASS (Nothing I can't live with though)

Tyler can get me all but the keys made but I won't quote the price...Cheaper than a shell obviously. Good prices!

Now...I can either buy the parts off Tyler and pay for keys made or I can get a shell, the shell I'm looking at is a '91 h/b but it's auto, no big deal BUT...I have nowhere to put the car and I am mechanically inclined to do a motor swap (there goes Mr. Ego ;/) I could bring both cars to a friends house but it will still take me forever to figure out what I'm doing + I am not sure about SOHC into DOHC cars?

Shit, I bet I'm answering my own questions, I just want some assured input and opinions I guess. ;/

So is your question to just get a good body shell, and not fuck with the one that needs everything? If the shell is cheap enough, Id say go for it. My hatch needs a core support, and honestly, its more of a pain in the ass than the SOHC running like shit at the moment. I hate body work, and generally, its more expensive than motor work.

I'm not worried too much about the body work side of things. I am worried about where to put both cars once I have them and how to swap the motor in...

Pros of just buying parts:
-Cheaper
-Easy (I am assuming this one though)
Cons of just buying parts:
-Body is rough

Pros of buying a shell:
-Straight body
Cons of buying a shell:
-little swap knowledge and nobody to help me out here.
-No room where I stay

Well, I am selling that t-bird for $800 tomorrow so that is all I wish to dump into this car to make it street worthy...

My goals for this car are really to see what I can do at a couple events and to stay as cheap as possible. I'll upgrade later this year because I have a good job lined up soon.

Is this even worth doing? Think I can install a windshield with just extra help from a friend?

This shouldn't be racking my brain like this but I want it running in about 2 weeks.

Just do what will be the cheapest/ what you can come out with less in. It it would be cheaper to have the shell running and in good shape, roll with that, if it would be more expensive, then roll with the one that is running.

pshh. you dont need any windows, just wear a helmet everytime you go out for a drive.
