nitrus adds more concentrated oxygen molocules into your engine.
basically air is very little oxygen and thats what burns.
n20 .. adds a significant amount of more concentrated oxygen....
when you install a nitrus kit, you tune it so that your ecu knows when you shoot nitrus, and how much you shoot. and then adds more gas so you dont run lean.

1- ^^ what he said. the n2o doesnt give you the hp, its the way the n2o makes it to where extra fuel is sprayed into the engine. so upgraded fuel mods would be optimal. (fuel pump, injectors etc)
2- yes. it can increase hp (duh) and also help eliminate turbo spool. you can hook up a window switch to have n2o spray until you hit lets say 12 psi and after your turbo is at 12 psi the n2o cuts off and then its all turbo.
3-yes. you can safely put a 1/2 of stock hp shot onto your car. i.e. 200 hp engine can handle 100 shot.

its good for a RACE car.
lets say you were auto-x ing. you round a corner slow down and still in third. youre going to fast to shift to 2nd and too slow for max turbo spool... tad shot of nitrous spools you up really quick out of the corner :)

drag is a duh...

i cant see much practical use for drifting imo...

:thinking: under SCCA solo rules, Nitrous bottle is not allow in the car.
And no one do a turn in third gear in AutoX. You need to go AutoX. I will show you :toung:

I went to 3 different tracks. Every where, most EVO & WRX guys rather hit rev limiter couple of times than shifting to 3rd gear
