So my lenses were yellowish. My low beams had 40$ bulbs and still weren't great. I love my high beams but kill whoever is in front of me so i need some solutions. I'll update this as i go along searching for Zenki happiness.

To start with (NOPI-bound 2006-shut up)

I just hit my lights with mothers metal polish occasionally. cheap and easy. Why did you take them apart? seems like a lot of effort for nothing.

Hm..
I found out keeping them on the car and just taping off the bumper and fender is alot easier than taking them off.
Plus, you can push down on the buffer a bit more to get that.. pressure.. even though you're not supposed to.

Anyways..
to clean up lights,

I used the same red paste, TurtleWax Rubbing Compound followed by Mother's Cut n' Polish creme.

Turned my DD's hazed out lights to brilliant clear.. except I fucked up on couple spots and scuffed the light. :(

Takes a good 2-3hrs. to get em to shine real nice though.

get the german glass headlights. they're only like $450. haha. i used some marine plastic polish stuff that my dad had and it worked pretty well.

well at my work we have a headlight polishing kit & i can get a set that is tottaly faded to clear in about 10 minutes, the kit is made my Matco tools & uses an air powered buffer to gget down to the fresh plastic
another thing that works really well is 2500 grit sandpaper then use the polishing stuff on there, this works extremely well on the oness that are oxidized really bad
