Hey I Know the stock speakers in the rear of a s14 are 6.5in but I found a good deal on some 6x9 and was wondering if anyone on here has upsized to a 6x9 and what mods had to be made to make them fit.

6.5s will almost always sound better than 6x9s. Plus don't hack your shit up like that, that's ghetto fab.

Get a nice set of 6.5s and you'll be much happier.

I am running 2way 6.5 Kenwoods for rear fill in and 6.5 Component fronts (the absolute best component kenwood makes right now and the new Kenwood headunit with blue tooth and all that. The headunit can arrange where you want the speakers, indvidual control on all speakers, its insane.

Anyways, its sounds incredible. I can have my windows down at 100 and crank up my stereo for crystal clear music.

I can't wait to get to the stereo phase of my car. It has 4s in the dash, 6.5s in the doors, and 6x9s in the rear. But the plan is to mount tweeters on the doors as well and replace the 6x9s with 6.5s. I wish I could use the sub and amp I have but DSM alternators fucking SUCCCKKKK and it wouldn't keep the car running with just the sub amp I have :(

I like 6x9's personally, but if I were to redo the stereo in my Teg, I'd probably put a better set of 6.5's back there.

Although, I'll figure that out once I get my sub and whatnot in it

6.5's will be much clearer and more accurate. I love mine to much to even thinking about putting my extra set of 6x8's back there.

This.

I custom fit 6.5"s in the back of my S13. They come with 4x6's.
