is this really a serious question?

we've run many cars with ebay wastegates without a problem
theres only a few things you have to do
pull the wastegate apart, make sure the valve is tightened down
check the diaphragm to make sure it isnt torn, kinked, ripped or punctured
make sure all bolts are tight
and that the fire ring seats right
you shouldnt have a problem

^^ And after you do all that, throw it away and buy a quality device for controlling your boost.

Yeah, its all good. I don't buy crap. And you shouldn't either.
There is a reason they cost more, just remember that. It goes for EVERYTHING. Sometimes you pay for the name, yes, but you pay for all the R&D that it took to make the BOV, Wastegate, Manifold, etc. Not just copy it and hope for the best.

^ truth
the one difference is that the metals used to cast the valve and housings are different
tials are nicast
ebays are just pot metal

You're saving like, 100 bucks? Just buy the name brand or get a cheaper TurboXS wg or something. An ebay shock tower brace is OK, but don't buy knock off parts when it comes to controlling your boost.

just get one used, or pay the money for a new one, i just got a used tial for cheap cheap. everything on it is fine.. i wouldnt buy a ebay wastegate. thats something that you dont want to fail or else your turbo will blow cause boost will just keep raising and raising..

I wouldn't skimp out on something that will blow your motor when it fails to open.

Nothing would probably line up. And I'm sure there are multiple spots that would need reinforcing prior to use.
