I want to take the first few lines to apologize to the guys for having to read this sort of thing again. And I'm serious about this question....No "buttsex/stripper/crazy donkey ride" stuff....I need help and I need it now...I have less than one week.

So what do you get someone for a 6-month anniversary, when:

1. You weren't planning on doing anything at all because the only anniversaries you believe in are years...(we are going on just a weekend excursion to Martha's Vineyard, planned before we realized it was "6 months")
2. Your boyfriend gets nervous that he wasn't going to buy you the right thing, and he shows you what he was going to get you, and it's this:

With "this" being a 0.6 ct, VVS2, color: H, ideal round cut diamond solitaire pendant (in case the picture didn't work).

3. He explains his rationale: "I know you want a 6ct engagement ring (inside joke), so I figured I could get you a necklace to warm you up to the idea...and it can be 0.6 carats because I can say I got you your 6 carats, even if it is POINT 6...and I was thinking, I should get something in white gold or platinum, since you wear silver jewelry most of the time..."

Well 6 months dont usually require anniversaries so you should find some happiness in the fact that he cares that much to get you a diamond so soon. Kudos to him.

donkey show works for me.

if he is into cars like you said, get him something he needs or wants. because its something he can use. :)

well, thats just mr. practical me, i would rather have that.

that would be grand. wait and see if he actually gets it....haha..then you can hold back those nice hoosier tires....

joking.

i dunno what up with these guys, but must be nice being well to do and have romantic gift thoughts.

i think it truely takes at least a year before you know someone. even for just regular friends. the worst situations and pressure brings out the good or bad in people. :)

Ummm just get some really sexy lingerie, bottle of champagne, strawberries + whipped cream. You can wear the necklace with the lingerie. ;)

six months and he is getting a 0.6ct round VVS2 H diamonds ?
you must be a lucky girl :) (did he told you how much he bought?)
white gold is fine for necklace/pendant

guys usually dont' like to "show off". Most of us(guy) prefer something more practical.

Do you want to get him car related stuff ?
If not, does he play any sports ?
Worse scenario, you can always get him tech stuff, like MP3 or Wii.

How much is your budget ?
Nothing wrong to celebrate 6 months. This show how much he care for you. My first year, we even celebrate quaterly, and even monthly :D
About the ring, dont' event think about 6ct. Yes, is big, is pretty, but you going to scratch yourself wearing it everyday. This is from real experience ;)
