Its a qualifier as well as a competition. I know like 6 of you got licenses, or something like that. Come be a race car driver.

This is the season opener for the FDC series Round 1.

Location is West Palm beach South Florida Fairgrounds and we will have the FDC qualifier at the same event.
The FDC qualifiers that would be fully caged would have a change to move up to run the main event.
This event will be tandem drift competition with Floridas best drifters and some from Georgia.

Entry fee for the FDC drivers will be $150 which $50 goes directly to the purse. So size of the purse is depending on how many drivers we will get.
FDC qualifier fee will be $100 and if you qualify and have the equipment to move up and run on the main event you'll have to pay the additional $50

Its a joke because theres no driver count, thats what sucks. There is a purse is still there. Win some money to drift. And yea I know the grand prix event being cancelled sucked, but oh well. DRIFT! HGH!

So it sucks because you couldn't drive in the IRL, Dont blame FDC for it we had nothing to do with the fact that they changed the head count last minute.
But anyways good luck with FD! hope you do well.

hah thanks, but im just giving someone else on this site shit, im not really going to fd.

but for sure it feels like you used the IRL race to lure people into your series. i sort of think it was ALWAYS a demo, (that you have every year)and you just said it would be an event bc theres usually close to 150k people there. plus there was a $200 entry fee on a demo? theres no way you paid the whole 2k all the years before but suddenly, this year, everyone else has to?

i just think it was sortof a joke that you suddenly canceled the opener and then planned a new opener two weeks in advance and didnt give any of your drivers any REAL notice.

im just saying an email would have been nice. you cant expect me to just check sfldrifters all the time. your website didnt say a thing about the event until like a week ago.

plus then event it 150?? thats quite a bit if you ask me. granted 50 is for the purse but, can the track, i mean parking lot you rented REALLY cost upwards of 5k??? 50 driver cap, 100 bucks per driver.?

i just dont wanna commit to something that may or may not turn to shit.

call me an asshole but shit. id just perfer to put my money elsewhere.

youve got 2 major league REAL pro-ams to go up against. your gonna need to either cut the cost (bc they both cost about the same as your series) or i dont know, professionalize it some how.

weve got local parking lot events here and no reason to go to your local parking lots events just because you say its pro series..

1. This was the first year I organized IRL, before that it was done by WDC. What ever they did and how they paid for the demo is none of mine consern. This year it was and that demo cost me over $3000 over the insurance and I also paid the insurance cost on the drivers that did not show up.
2. send me your e-mail and I'll send you copy of the track rental at Fairgrounds it is $5050 dollars and Insurance is $1278 if you dont believe me here is phone number to the track ask for Annabell 561-793-0333 our insurance is through K and K and their number is 1-800-348-1839 ask for Joe repass.
3. I know the notice for this event was short, but every driver was supposed to be ready by the April 3rd for the IRL so we assumed that they would be ready for a make up event. I now totally agree with you the drivers were not ready and starting to advertise for the series in November -08 and telling everyone at every event that we need you guys to be ready by April wasn't enough time.

We are not going to call you or anyone names there is no need for it.

FDC is not made to compete with any other series in any other area, it was created for drivers to have a place to drive and have fun.

As I said have fun at any drift events you take part and I'm sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations.
