duck tape... not that grey stuff but the actual tape made from ducks, instead of that annoying stretching noise it makes when you unroll it, this one quacks as you unroll it :D

lmfao +4 ^^^^^^^
Using bondo on the dash works? would you need to strip all the dash vinyl off first?

do suede.
ftw.
ftw.
ftw.
unless you have a way to make the patterns similar to the original dash texture.
maybe textured paint.
it'll still be hard to replicate.

From what ive been told using the fiberglass kit on the dash is what most people do. they cut a .5 inch strip along side the crack and remove that small area. using the fiber glass kit you repair it and keep it as clean as possible, while its beginning to harder, use the non sticky side of duct tape and roll it along the areas that are covered in the resin to make the same look. once dry some black paint and it "should" look good as new. I will be doing it to one of my dashes i have here just to try it out.
I will post up my progress as i start and go along.
suede wrapped.
^ yes. Thats what I'm doin...

Suede would be nice.
You could always pour glue everywhere and sprinkle it with rice.

take out the old dash, make a fiberglass mold out of it, then put silicone on the inside of the mold, then, lay down some fiberglass. sand down, bondo over the small holes that happen sometimes, then, voila, you have a brand spanking new fiberglass dash. just paint, and install. or wrap it if you want to.

I haven't seen it done yet, but I think a custom carbon fiber overlay would look pretty badass

yeah it would, but if you're looking for suede, go to joann's off of barrett parkway, they also have a large selection of vinyl if you want vinyl. but there you go.

this is one my friend, Bill did on his car. our goal was light weight. i came out prettier than the pic but it was more for estactics. the stock dash isnt that heavy, but had given the whole car a diet anyways.

not hard, andy. i got some crazy std's from breathing that stuff in tho. make sure you wear a mask.
you can make it stock too. we just had it done that ways, so we can cut out and place gauges where we really wanted them to be.
