You are exactly right. Coming from a girl who has been cheated on in the past, you never FULLY get over that. You will always hold some sort or resentment and animosity towards your boyfriend (and vice versa). Even if they didn't cheat but had pics of their ex on their computer (which has also happened to me) it still causes a hurt and distrust.
