Don't think that since you treat your wife like shit that you can treat me like shit.
I get so tired of douchebags that call my work to set up an estimate and they think that if they cuss me out and yell at me enough then I'll do whatever they ask.
Fuck that. You can yell at your wife and treat her like shit but you'll never treat me like shit. They get to the point of yelling at the top of their lungs over the phone because I won't do what they say.
Fuck you buddy. Go hit your wife some more.

BTW, on a totally serious note, it seems a bit ridiculous to assume that because someone is angry and yelling at you that they beat their wife. If a woman was yelling at me would you assume she beats her husband?
Some people just lash out. That's not cool at all, and it shouldn't be tolerated, but it doesn't mean they are violent, especially toward their significant other.

Haha. I hang up on people all the time. I recently got in trouble for being such a bitch on the phone. We were getting a lot of complaints from people so my boss had to explain that it makes the company look bad since I'm the first person these people speak too. Customer service is a bitch because I'm supposed to sit there with a smile on my face while they cuss me out. I guess I grew up without the compassionate gene.

That overwhelming desire to hang up on people... not a good trait in a CSR... I've been doing that for a long time in Call Centers... now I'm IT... but it's cool since they're internal employees. Better than the mass public... in some ways... mostly because they work for the same company, so they behave themselves.
But yeah, when they cuss at you, you hang up on them... that's the rule.

And this is why I'm glad I no longer work at the front office of the shop. I moved to the back now and I'm a lot happier. Granted, we've only had a handful of customers get out of line because of their own failure to understand that if something breaks on an old motor, that it may still be subject to breaking more stuff if they don't want to fix it properly.
Haha, I used to love customer service.
