do you mean KAE to KADE or a straight swap?

edit: i see you've got a '93... nothing too tricky with a straight swap make sure everything's disconnected and pull the tranny with the motor. maybe buy a chilton's manual to help walk you through it if it's your first.

Yep. Pull tranny too.

Here are the steps. I'll type out fairly quickly so if I miss anything, I apologize..

Pull intake.
Drain Coolant
Pull Radiator
* Wiring Harness
* Tranny Harness (Undo from Fusebox area. Much easier)
Undo PS pressure line.
Undo PS feed line.
Undo throttle cable.
Undo Brake Booster hose.
Undo Vaccum Lines.
Undo Engine ground.
Undo Heater Hoses.
Jack up car.
Drain tranny.
Undo driveshaft at the diff.
Undo carrier bearing mount.
Pull driveshaft.
Undo tranny mount bolts.
Undo motor mount nuts.
Undo exhaust.
Take off AC Compressor.
Wrap chain around intake and exhaust mani.
....
Pull motor.

I'm pretty sure thats it, I might have missed a few things. If you need any help, or have a quick question, don't hesitate to call. :)

if your changing a/c compressers, dont forget to recharge it. which reminds me. i need to remove all my ac lines. my car came without the compresser. oh well. but if you arent changing compressors, dont disconnect the lines if you can, or you'll have to recharge it.

Ahh yes. I forgot about the A/C Compressor. I don't have those in my cars. I'll add it to the list.

^does it have any gas? did you check your fuel lines/fuel pump/fuel filter? if you dont have that much gas in it... i'd go and put some gasoline in there.
oh and when you started it, did you press on the gas too that tends to help...

i had that problem when i put my SR in. It wouldn't turn over but it'd spark, so I went and bought like 5$ worth of gas and poured it in, and the car cranked right on up.

well it had half a tank, then when i tried crankin it went to a quarter tank, i even poured gas into the intake

well its definately getting gas, i took the hose that leads out from the fuel filter off at the fuel rail and it when i turned the key it was pourin gas, it must be timing, but i have no way of getting it set because i guess the only way to set it is get a huge socket and turn the engine to top dead center and then put the rotor button on cylinder 1....but i have no huge socket, anyone know what size it is?
