SAFC Problem

I just installed my SAFC II and the screen isn't working. It's a used SAFC and I know it used to work on the last car it was on. The knob thing on the right lights up, but nothing comes up on the screen. Has anyone heard of anything like this?

I was supposed to be going to battle ground tomorrow morning to get my car tuned, so hopefully I can get this figure out tonight. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

hmmm... did you try gently bashing it? Cas somes stuff like that just gets alil loose and it needs a jiggle to get it working again...

I check the plug a few times. And I know it's getting power b/c the green knob lights up.

The only thing I can think right now is that a friend of mine had the screen go out on his safc, and he plugged mine into his harness to see if it was the wires or if he just needed a new safc. When he did that, the screen worked. That was a few months ago, and it's just been sitting in my car since then. I'm wondering if maybe we got our units mixed up and he still has the one that works. I know it might seem obvious if he has a working safc now, but his car is a project car, so he hasn't driven it since he tried that out. Just to clear that up.

the bulb or soemthing is done. it should light up i believe. the knob lighting up shows the unit is getting power.

Is the bulb something I can replace or would that require sending it back to a'pexi (ie. not worth it)?

haha, i can't really get my money back. The safc came with that s13 i bought last year, so i don't have a receipt. It's wack indeed. Especially if me and my friend didn't just get ours mixed up and ours both actually had the bulbs go out.

i cant say that ive ever had a screen go out on anything other than a cellphone
and thats cuz i abuse my phones
