you really need just an empty block, e or de. and an empty tranny. helps with mocking up and moving it around. find someone whose stripped one ot, like viperfag.

i need an empty block with oilpan and mounts... my biggest issue i think is the oil pan not fitting between the front subframe and sway bar.... but running no front swaybar can be an option :-P

oil pan in an easy fix.
sway bars can also be moved or redesigned for a better steering response.

the sump for the oil pan in the A15 is in the center of the motor... steering is so harcore its not even rack and pinion :-D custom oil pan is outside of the budget...

goals of the project are gas milage around 30mpg highway. working AC. reliable Daily Driver for my mom.

seing as how the carburated A15 only put out 75crank HP asking it to also turn an AC compressor might hurt the little thing.

its tight. you shouldnt worry about the oil pan yet. see to the tunnel etc and motor leveling in there first. without the oil pan. an then work from there.

oil pan can be moded. and budget is almost free. all you need are cutting tools and a welder. and some matieral if any.

whats wrong with the old motor?

yes the steering crap do suck. i have that in my corolla as well. however all i need to do on my is to find and ae86 and swap it all out.

compression is in the low 60s and wont hold steady idle and stalls under power....

haha, i've said this in atleast 6 or 7 threads, yet nobody seems to want it.. Kevin (skanknastyS13) has a sohc and tranny sitting at his house that you can have. I think it's funny that he can't even give it away. You can use it for mock up, and then when you're done, do whatever the heck you want with it. The motor runs but I think it has a blown head gasket or something.

He's in athens, but the ka and transmission is at his parents house in gainesville. I work about 10 minutes from gainesville, so if you want to come get it and he's busy, just let me know and I'll go up there and help you get it all loaded up.
