looks like a good site to buy from. I asume you have used this site?

Also i have a stupid quesiton: what is an ignitor chip, and do i need one to complete my swap? And, my ka maf will work right?

No, a SOHC maf will work with an SR20det, but that's where the compatibility ends as far as I know. Z32 mafs work with an SR, but only with an safc... I think. But sohc mafs, dohc S13 mafs, and S14 dohc mafs are all different and not interchangeable between each other, so I don't imagine an rb being compatible with any of them either.

also those prices are for full clips right? Prices are higher than for just an engine set.

Who said anything about an rb? I goin for originality points and gettin an sr.

i saw that. So about that ignitor chip. What is it?

just so you know, when you do the SR, if you don't have an SR or sohc maf, just ask. I'm sure Tyler always has one, and I think I have 2 or 3 laying around.

and to answer your question, who said anything about an RB? your first post did, in the price list. Guess I just thought you were looking at options.

No, i was just posting because all of the clips seemed high priced. But I will post up when i need a maf.

i have a friend who bought a blacktop s14 clip & it was super clean, only like 38000KM!
the people down there are very professional, & friendly, also great customer service. they sent us a video of the car driving around in Japan, then they chopped it, sent it back & we picked it up
& they have free shipping too, its called go down there & pick it up
we would definetly use them again. Prices may be hi, but remember u get what u pay for, u dont want to buy a junk motor that u wont be able to swap into ur car right away
thats my $.02

Jarco is somewhat overpriced- but I've had good service there, can't complain. Also, it's only like 25 minutes from me which is nice.

Exactly.

There are cheaper places... and there are less professional places. Usually those two go hand in hand. Jarco is expensive- but really... is $200 more going to hurt for the assurance of the motor being the condition specified?

Good luck finding a motorset though, and welcome to boost. Whether you're a first timer or returning member to it, boost always welcomes you with open arms. lol

what about J-hot? Was considering my motor from them but haven't called yet. They don't have any motors in their ebay store so i don't know about prices. Was thinking of buying a clip but will probably get a motorset to try to save a little money.

So as not to thread jack- i have never personally used jarco but my friend has and spoke very highly of them.

there is a reason why they are still in business and growing. they sell good stuff. and are up front with their products to their best knowledge.
prices are high but you there is a high % that you know what you are getting.

I know i should just call them, but does anyone know if their prices are negotaible? And will they sell a front clip without the driveshaft and fuel pump for less?

jsut sell the stuff off of the clip that u wont use ie: dash, & all RHD parts, 5 spd pedal assy., driveshaft, fuelpump, sidemount interooler
someone will eventually buy this stuff

as far as I know due to regulation changes Jarco will no longer sell clips just motorsets.

I buy alot from Jarco. As it's already been said, you get what you pay for. They are top-notch in my book.
