ALRIGHT i officially hate whoever did a/c work on this car before me.
if any of yall are familliar with the a/c compressors on this car. you will know what im about to explain.
there are 4 bolts that hold the actual compressor onto the mounting arms.
then there are 4 bolts that hold the mounting arms onto the block of the motor
alright, the compressor had all 4 bolts in it
but the mounting arms had 2
seems fine ... till 1 wiggles it self loose... and then the compressor takes a crap and drops onto my sway bar...
for those of you who were at barrett tonight, they saw
i know brandon saw it.
the belt was just hanging on the crank shaft and the compressor was bent forward at about 30 degree angle...
the funny thing is that the a/c still worked like this for about a week.
i didnt know it was like this till the a/c stopped working yesterday.
so
i had to take the a/c stuff off.
so *cough* after i went to get the a/c drained professionally... *hiccup*
i took all the lines off from the condenser to the pump and to the part above the exhaust manifold area.
so now i dont have a/c ... oh well
my gf wont like that but eh summer is almost over :)
i hate air conditioning anyways

that blows man... sorry to hear that happened. But yeah man join the club No A/C for LIFE.
God, I hope not for life... the miata has basically no a/c. The 240.. well no compressor or condensor or any lines... Also completely professionally drained..................

I am A/C certified. I will drain it in 5 mins for $30. PM me for details.
LoL..
Oh, and why didn't you just bolt the A/C Compressor back on again?

no bolts... i thought about that but i couldnt find the other one... there was just 1 bolt in there. then i took it all off and found the bolt sitting ontop of the compressor inbetween one of the long screws and the compressor... so needless to say i was a little pissed cuz i took it all off
oh well...
i can always get it recharged and buy a new belt
oh and i ... cut the belt lol

You know in order to move the compressor around you didn't need to take off the lines right?
I do plenty of swaps and leave the compressor hooked up. You can move it around fine.
And also, belts are like 7 dollars. You can have A/C again with like.. 20 mins worth of work. And a recharge.
Tyler
Haha, did you ever get that window switch? YOUR GONNA BOIL LIKE A BABY IN THE BACK OF A BENZ IN MID JULY

i have 2 bolts now
it was more out of anger than anything else that i ripped the a/c stuff out
do you have 2 bolts for the metal mount piece that goes into the frame?
oh and no ... i didnt ... icant find a window switch

What is with you people and rep points? Rep points are a reward. Not something you ask for. Even as a reward, they don't really mean shit. Give him some bolts, and if he feels the need, he will rep you. If not, are you really going to care?!

lolol..
A/C...
its a luxury....
at least for me, lol.....
Only on the hot, humid, rainy days. I use A/C.
Other days... WIND FTW!
Yeah, rain is usually the only thing that makes me use A/C simply because I can't have the windows open...
