Acosta spins tonight at the WETbar... 21+ to party. Doors open at 10pm, close at 3pm. The venue's not that great compared to the Opera and the crowd generally sucks... but Acosta never disappoints... not once in the 5893752395 times I've seen him spin live.
Feel free to say hi if you go and see me there. ^_^

:D My kinda girl! One day I will be spinning in them! My friends GF's bro is heavy into the DJ scene and knows a bunchg of people with clubs and would get me into those when im ready and then work my up.
Corsten was amazing! Was also quite drunk before I went in... lol.... then my friend bought me a mind eraser as a late bday present (only a month off, getting better as the years go by).
Id like to try and go at least every other week to clubs :D
p.s. working 9am on saturday blows.

I like mostly Trance with house and breaks;somtimes other genres just depends.... generally dont like pop dance and hardcore though....

I dont think I will do that for a few reason...
1.) I like my mind and dont want it forever screwed up..
2.) I would hate to see what my downfall would be like and what would happen
3.) If I did it and got to a certain someone (who really cares and doesnt want me to enter a downward spiral).... I might end up being forced to go to shrink and other stuff. Drug issues have been in my family before and with family history my parents would take every precaution the moment they know anything.

It's pointless, trust me. The 1st time will be good or whatever, but any time after you'll always be chasing that high with no results, and the stuff tears your body up...

Acosta was "ok" at best. He spun a few good songs... several old school songs like Children, but he always does that in his sets. This was probably the most poor set I've seen him spin outta the 5-6 times I've seen him perform live. Lots of irritating house / DnB style tracks mixed in... not to mention, during the really trancey songs when the volume would lower it'd be like the music turned completely off. Very mild climaxes in some of the more upbeat songs too.
Crowd was pure poo. I'm never a fan of 21+ only parties due to the fact that the crowd is more of an older / club-style group of ppl rather than party folks who dance / appreciate the music. This was no different. Some people were retardedly old... and it was hard-pressed to find a girl worthy of an 8 or higher... where as at The Opera, you're hard-pressed to find a girl less than an 8. The venue is pretty small to begin with but it was also suprisingly empty for being a Friday and for being Acosta. Every Acosta show I've been to has drawn a huge crowd... this one was very empty in comparison. Oh, and there was a really annoying girl who couldn't get the idea that I didn't want to dance with her.
I also got sick off of over-stuff'n my self with sushi, then chugging jager, then dancing at the event. That probably contributed to my sour exerperience some. All in all, I've been to the WETbar 4 times now and had only one really positive experience (AVB this year). I don't think I'll ever be returning to that venue and I'm sure Liquified will get back to being at The Opera so it won't matter.
As for DJ's comming, they come in spurts... and all the major DJ's have already came and visited for the first half of the year... PVD, AVB, Corsten, etc. The only show I'm looking forward to that's offically scheduled is Tiesto. The best show I've been to this year (and ever), is Ferry Corsten @ The Opera opening week. Its an amazing experience when a DJ and enviroment can make you feel like you're rolling without being under the influence of any drugs. The Opera is simply astonishing and Corsten knows how to get your body moving.
