when you start going over 300 then you will start to have problems.

I voted 2J/1J since I don't really see a point in putting them in a 240. Why put a 700 lb motor in a lightweight chassis when the same power levels can be reached with lighter motors? If big power is what you want, go with an LSx. After all, they weigh less than the KA drivetrain. I would go RB25/26 before the 2J also personally. The only downside the RB26 has over the 2J is cost and parts availablity, but if cost is a serious issue then the inline 6 swaps or LSx swaps shouldn't be considered anyways.

That being said, the only motor in that bunch I would sell before installing if they were all given to me is the RB20. :P

No it does. It's faster and lighter N/A then almost every engine up there. The LSx belongs in every car, its one of the best engines of all time. What's better then having an engine that makes 400 HP N/A and weights less then a KA. It's the ultimate engine.

I think its great to get good mpg and still be quick. I found it awesome that my SR Sentra got up to 37mpg on the highway with an average of 32mpg with flogging and still ran 13s.....

Sometimes, when people start making fun of the fact that my car prolly drinks gas because it sounds the way it does. It just depends on the company.

My parents, older folks, and green nuts actually find it very interesting that I improved my car's gas milege while making it faster as well.

All of the motors on the poll have good purposes. Everyone derives their own opionon about a motor from personal experiences. I know setups that have worked great on each of those motors.

Personally I like SR's and LS1's for drifting. I'm more inclined to say SR just because its what I have and I love the feeling of boost and being able to bang the motor off redline all day long :).
