A friend of mine used to work at a Nissan Dealership and they had a guy come in to have his clutch worked on. I don't remeber all the detials but something like he was having tranny problems or somethin and decided to put another clutch in when they rebuilt his tranny. Long story short i have a Frontier clutch (the use/d the KA24DE as in 240's for those who may not know) with less than a 1000 miles on it and in perfect shape. Now my question is, is this the same clutch that is used in 240's? i'm almost positive that it is but wanted to see if anyone had any experience. The clutch in my 95 is about to go and since i have this one layin around it would make it easy on me.
Any ideas?

dont waste yor time just go buy a clutch disk.
its like 35 bucks!!! new. or maybe less.
the clutch would probably fit, but it may be bigger in diameter. prob uses the same spline.

atleast get the flywheel resurfaced and definitely get a new throw out bearing. i never take the tranny out and put it back together without a new throwout bearing. from experience.
they are about 30 bucks too. good luck.

V- do you pull the motor to do your clutch swaps? or drop the tranny out the bottom. I think the throw out bearing is whats bad on my 98 but i'm just gonna replace everything. I know it's about to need a new clutch anyways. The woman who had my 95 before me raped the shit outta my clutch so i'm gettin wicked chatter.

to do a clutch job, with a lift. it should take me about 1 1/2 hours. i just drop the transmission out from the bottom.
without the lift should be about 2 1/2 hours.
first timer without time wasting and knowing what to take out systematically, probably about 3-4 hours.
Flip's first took 9 hours and 43 minutes 7.5 secs. but was accomplished. :)
shiter out. drive shaft bolts etc out. tranny mounts off. exhaust loosen. all 14 mm bolts and clutch slave cylinder off. yanked that bish out.
replace clean. double check fork, pivot ball, and throwout bearing install.
pull exhast down so you can get angle, and shove it back in. them bolts.... put it back. put shifter back in there, check for engage and disengage to make sure its in and all. then assemble everything. oh yeah, you may want to drain the tranny fluid out when starting to work with it or plug it up, or it will get messy.
you should be done.
a little fighting may go on under there , but if you have experience, you may overcome it quickly.
good luck.
safety first.

You WILL struggle getting it back on the motor if this is your first time.. A little tip, use a jack and a block of wood to jack the motor up from the oil pan to tilt it downward. It makes getting the tranny on 20X easier.
