yes, it has been done.

Into S13 hatch/coupe and convertible, also into an S14.

It's neat and all but for the same amount of money you can have a built motor in your car, it all depends on if you want NA or forced induction

If you have access to back issues of Modified, you'll find a sweet candy apple red kouki-converted S14 with a boosted vq35 in it. Bad as hell!

Also, sport compact car did a write-up on the swap. Not your typical plug and play swap, but there are companies that can make it come close if you got the dough.

Someone had an S13 coupe on display at Formula D with one in it, we stopped and talked to him, he kind of priced it out for us at like $1200 or so for everything you need to make the motor work. But then you still need a motorset...

But if you got the money, I say why not? Most of those motors are far newer than any Rb or SR swap you can buy, and with (realistically) about 230 hp or so NA, it's not a bad deal.

Turnkey it will run you about $6k-$7k, but the guy who does it for that price takes quite awhile, 2-3 months.

He does all stock ECU and whatnot, no megasquirt or standalone.

Although there are obviously added benefits to standalone (more control) but you keep more factory gadgets and whatnot without.

7k ? ouch.

call 911

probably cost that much for him to charge u, but cost-benefit doesnt work out.

ehh.. i like my sr. i have room to sleep in my engine bay if i'm ever without shelter. If I'm gonna stuff a big motor in my engine bay it's going to be an LS1 so I can make girls orgasm when the roar from my engine sends vibrations up their skirt.

well that works for you b/c you like doing girls in the butt so much, and that little buzz from your civic is just enough to tickle a girl's anus.

www.vqswap.com does a kit or something for swapping a VQ into a 240, seems like their stuff might be ok (other than the fact that they don't know how to spell "silvia", and the one demo car they had got pretty much totalled by a wall at nopi denver). i like the idea of that motor though, would probably make for a nice reliable NA setup with a fairly usable powerband. i'll stick to my SR for now too though :).
