My friend has a 91 Accord and is trying to get some music going. I had to get two adapters, one for her older style harness and one that fits the S2000 radio. I soldered the harnesses together and plugged the CD player into her car and stuck the antenna in. The CD player will not turn on. I tried a Kenwood unit also with it's own harness and the unit will not turn on either. I know the two new harnesses and the head units are in working order so it has to be her car.

What should I try next? Should I just run a cable directly from the battery, run it through the firewall, and connect it to the head unit and run my own wiring to the speakers?

Thanks

A couple of suggestions for ya. 1. Make sure you have a good clean ground, I would run a seperate to a screw attached to the radio chassis... 2. pull the radio fuse and check it, even if it looks ok you may try replacing.

The cd player in my Jeep just stopped working, so I took out the fuse in the head unit, and the one in the box... they looked ok but I replaced them anyway.. now it works! Hope this helps!

... IF your wiring is 100% correct..

check your constant fuse for the radio under the hood. honda's have their grounds on the harness so there is no need to run another ground. your constant/memory fuse is probably toast.

lol my CD player doesn't work either.. it just flashes Disc or ejects the disc that already in there, so in order to get the Cd to play, i have to press the AM/FM button then press the CD button and i heard that's just cuz it's a 6-disc changer that it messes up easily.. but idk
