How can I back the piston into the caliper more on my front brakes? Right now, with the piston as far out as it is, it won't fit around then by about 3 mm.

I ordered them online.....
They are 180SX brakes with 95 Maxima pads.

take the old brake pad and put in on the piston. and then take a c-clamp and tighten it down. it will press the piston back into the caliper.
or the worng pads.

are 180 rears the same as most s13 rears...? you have to screw in the piston on the rears.
by them do you mean rotors or calipers?

That's what I do. It recently broke, so I've just been using a jack bar sideways and muscling the piston down. lol

Nah, the front isn't screw-down type.

Good catch. Yeah, it should be the 96-99 maxima pads.
maxima calipers = 96-99 maxima pads
Altima rotors.
Good rule of thumb, just grab 97 maxima pads and 97 altima rotors. Same year makes it easier to remember.

No i used altima pads and 180sx calipers and rotors. No maxima parts are needed.
I'm not sure if the 96-99 maxi pads work though, so i recommend what i know works altima. lol

I was naming the crossover parts that you can use for the 180sx brake setup.
When I got mine from a front clip, I had to use maxima pads + altima rotors on mine. Everything fit perfectly.

I got it all worked out. I used:
1995 Maxima Pads (same part number as the Altima)
2002 Sentra SE-R Rotors (Altima rotors are only 10.75" or so and the 180SX rotors are 11", and so are SE-R Rotors, so if you don't want the pads to hanf over the edge a little bit, get SE-R rotors)
So...hows it stop compared to stock?

Good deal. And I meant to say 95-99 maxima pads, not 96-99.
So the 95 ones should have worked just as they apparently did. Good info about the SE-R rotors too...that's news to me.
Useless now, since I have q45 fronts :(

I'll find out when Steven gets here with my bucket and hose so I can bleed the lines.

The way mine feels compared to stock s13 brakes is night and day. I got in my white car after not driving it awhile and almost missed the stop sign. lol. And good info on the rotors i'm using the 180sx rotors, I just had them turned.

Well since the Brembos come with a special coating on them, it took a while for them to break in. They really are good. My pedal goes down a little further so I'll make sure all the air is out of the lines tomorrow. Now I just have to do my rear brakes since the bias is all front and lurches forward. I took my mom out for a ride and since she has always had ABS cars, she has never experienced lock-up. Lol, you can figure out the rest.....
