best speakers are hand made from 14 year old japanese girls hair, woven together with panda jizz, and gold wire that ninja's have stolen from old women; before cutting off thier heads and wailing hard on electric guitars. no, but for real, its really up to how much money you want to spend. decent speakers for a car like polk audio, memphis audio, are pretty affordable. don't get fooled by the expensive kenwoods, and alpine speaker. its in a car! If you have anything more than stock exhaust your wasting your time. unless you just like to listen to music in your driveway while playing basketball. oh yeah, your mom just yelled; dinner is ready.

I'm generally very loyal to anything Kenwood, atleast, any kenwood audio shit I've had, Ive never had a problem with it.
Their 6.5 components don't sound bad for the money, but I'll also agree on some Infinitys or Alpines.
Just get components up front, and some decent coaxials for the rear.
As for subs, I love my Alpine Type-R 10' (Which is also for sale in a ported box)
And as much as I hate Audiobahn shit, my friend Josh used to have one 12" that would hit harder than cars with 4x the speakers.

I can never understand this logic.
If you're trying to make a car slick, and drive it everyday, why wouldn't you want some good audio in it?

hybrid legatia three-ways powered by arc audio mini amps and an RE 8" sub powered by a modest memphis amp. dont even bothere with the others if your looking for weight savings as pioneer , alpine and the like are very heavy components.

I like Infinity a lot. Always use them in my cars.
They have several price points: Reference, Kappa, & Kappa Perfect I think. Check them out, you'll be impressed.

I am 32 and been doing car audio for a long time, and if you want good quality for a cheap price I would recommend this company call Total Mobile Audio or TMA. The co. is owned by JL Audio, but its much less expensive. The company was started by the guy that started rockford fosgate when it was at its best. I have 2 sets of the 6.5 comp. and they are as good as any but not quite as expensive.

I've got pioneer 6.5's up front. They're blue. IDK the model number though. They have two tweeters in em. As far as bass... I've got a 12" can't remember the brand, but people give an approving nod when they see it. Then I've got an 1800watt Kenwood amp. The amp's where it is. I had this same sub powered by some shat 1000 watt amp and it didn't bump for shit. This is my DD, so don't dog for having a system. I can rattle paper inside other people's cars assuming the windows are open and facing. LMK if you wanna see the setup. I'll take pics.

I've got MB Quartz in my VW. Going on seven years now. Flawless sound from the components. For subs, I'm running JL Audio 12W3 x2, again, flawless after almost seven years.
Both are powered by Alpine V power amps, and I run an Alpine headunit. I would not trade my system for anything else. Unless someone offered me newer MB Quartz, Alpine and Focal equipment.
