So I had Dave install and tune my SAFC2 today. Needs less to say... This man doesnt need the fucking pinouts to get it to work... Ya they did a turbo spec from '03, well the '05 ECU plug is different. Ya dave spend all morning figuring that shit out cas it is VERY poorly documented. By the end of the day he has that bitch singing.
Then he tuned it, I WAS making 166ish before Dave laid his magical hands on it. Now I am making 183ish, and this thing has never run so smooth. Yup 3rd chrips with ease...
Not only is dave fucking awesome, the whole crew up there is fucking awesome. I had to go to work at 3pm, well dave wasnt quite done with my car yet so 240shorta tells me to hop into the Skyline for a ride to work. THEN they delievered my car to me at work after they were done making it even more awesome.
Lethal Injection Motorsports has given me the BEST shop experience thus far.

Damn on a Mustang Dyno... should go pick on some S2000s and 350Zs you'd be a very close match from a roll.

Do you have anything done to your RSX? That would be a good race from a dig if you had a few bolt-ons.

Haha, just a short shifter and gutted airbox.
Honestly, with full boltons, I think I could take Duke on the highway, but from a dig, I already know he has me.

The type-S is really responsive to an aftermarket CAI isn't it? Add pulleys and maybe a header and you should take him.

Apparently a Injen CAI adds 12whp.
Really, I just dont want to spend any cash on the RSX for performance, its a good daily, but won't ever be much of a performance car in my eyes.
Besides, gotta stack some cash to start on an FC :)

It might be best for your money to learn about motors before you go off and buy parts hoping for more power.

i know stuff about motors, just the little things (n the common n important things) that i dont get what they are, or how they work. id love to learn. n if i posted a thread with a list of shit on motors i dont know exactly whaht they are n how it works n shit. everyone would either tell me to hit the search button, or i shouldnt be around 240's let alone boosted ones if i dont know much about em. n i wouldnt really be looking for just straight power gain, like i know thats a givin with a good tune, but i like how dave doesnt "tune a perfectly even AFR insteed he does it a weeee bit rich, just barely. mainly because its much better/safer to run a lil rich then lean" id mainly look for just better running, not sooo rich. just mainly a perfectly sound, motorset..

Lol, fuck a rotary.
V8, sir.
CAuse honestly, I can do the FC with a V8 cheaper than I can my S13.
Besides, a new chassis would be fun.

^_^
thx fellas for the compliments and thx for the review duke =]
ya before the tune it was a smij lean down low and low 11's (uber rich for n/a) up top. i set it to ~13 down low and up top mid 12's. it made more power being a little on the rich end up top. all in all he got 10-20 hp and tq throughout the whole power band, which is definately a noticeable improvement.
lately we've been doing more and more before and after dyno pulls. the dyno is such a great tool to have in the performance world which is why we opted to get a load based dyno. it's so much easier to tune a car for how it'll be on the street when the dyno can simulate how it'll be on the street.
lately it's been like 2 pulls before and after doing a mod like exhaust or a manifold or an intake system and you can actually compare the before and afters. we put exhaust on a new tiburon and i think he got like 13 more peak hp but throughout the powerband it makes more hp and torque, then we put just a header on a cobalt ss and he got like 18 hp and 14tq and STILL needs to be tuned lol. it's awesome to be able to see what this mod or that mod did to your power band.
lately i've also been comparing other people's dyno's with this or that turbo, this or that motor, and looking at the power bands and how fast boost comes on, etc.
it's always a plus when recommending upgrades to customers to actually show them why we're recommending them and what kinds of real world gains they'll see from them.
i typed more info in zorak's review
thx again guys

it makes 12hp now honda engine. and can barely chirp the rear wheels and do wheelies.
