So i finnaly get to get my exhaust installed, im getting custom piping done, 2.5" from the headers to a new high flow cat and then 2.5" to my new muffler. YAY!!!! if anyone knows OMGTofu's car its gonna sound like his, loud as hell. the way i like it lol my nieghbors are gonna love me, if they dont already my car is hella loud with my intake only

the guy said i wouldnt want anything more than 2.5" and the muffler i got has a 2.5" inlet, and yea ill be at the party jack so you can see it then

Well the guy is an idiot.

Do you have an SR?

Even if not, why do you think all aftermarket exhausts are 3in or more?

More flow is always better.

2.5 is good.
you dont need more flow and its a street car, altho its more desirable.

its done and its done.

theres nothing you can do right now.

you can use it for your turbo car if you are planning on it, if you dont already have one now,
or you can always upgrade if you plan to push alot more HP in the future.

for right now, you got the low end torque going with the 2.5 so that should be fun..

thx ill upgrade the exhuats when i save up for an sr20, but for now im loving it. it wasnt expensive for the piping, so as long as im happy i guess lol

sorry to thread jack..........but i also just got my exhuast..........3" cat back

but is there any way to cut a gasket. I ended up buying 2 gaskets for the cat but they are way smaller than exhuast.........so i find a 3" gasket or find a way to cut it.

i have a 2.5 pipe it goes header to cherry bomb where the cat was then just pipe all the way out the back its loud...

Exhaust gaskets are cheap. I would just get a 3" gasket. It's better to do it right the first time than to have to go back and do something twice.

thats what i got on my SOHC except it is straight piped and it is loud as hell
